Is it a feature of corsair PSUs or just mine:

The mains power rocker switch on the back of the unit doesn't seem to do anything. it can be in either position and the PC still receives power and boots....?

(corsair HX750)

it should cut power from the mains when off.

however, the power cut isn't instant, as the PSU will still hold some charge in the capacitors.

so just flicking it on and off wont make much of a difference.

mine takes a good 10/20 seconds for it to lose power after switching it off

As i say... It will boot the pc! So either it has some MONSTER caps in it, or the rocker is a little faulty... haha

Maybe its just stiff. Ill have another prod

Yup.... I'm typing this with the switch in the 'off' position. (havent tried flipping it when the pc is on. would prefer not to)

I'm sure a friends 650 did this too. Does anyone else's switch not work??

if its not turning off at all, then it sounds faulty.

i have the HX850, and when the switch is off (and theres no power left) it wont come back on. The lights on the motherboard go off as well, which is a sure sign theres no power going through
