Faulty CPU or Mobo

Hi all,

Basicly I've bought a phenom x3 and an AM2+ mobo advertised as faulty. After installing, I've noticed that all the fans (CPU, system fans) run smoothly and the dvd drive works too. However, there are no displays or beeps.

To me, this feels like the mobo is fine but CPU is faulty, can someone share some light on it?

I can find out the exact spec of the mobo and cpu, but I feel like it's not that relevant right now. Will provide if needed.

Did the last consumer give you details on what was faulty? IF he didn't then there is your first mistake.

Nah he just said the bundle is faulty, same problem as Ive described. TBH I hardly paid much for it, was just an impulse buy anyway =].

No in all seriousness try another CPU on it and boot, try 1 stick of ram and boot... etc etc. You know the basic checks
