Hi My e6600 is being very flaky. It will boot from cold at standard setting but not reboot and I suspect the CPU is faulty.

So is it better to send it back under the Distance selling regs (Not to OCuK) or should I just return as faulty etc?

I need the replacement asap and I have untill Tuesday morning to decide.

Also am I right in thinking that DSR still applies as long as I send the CPU back in the original packing and good condition even though its been opened? I fancy that option as its likley to be quicker than waiting for them to test it and I'll just get another cpu from here,

I suspect either your Board or its BIOS is either flakey/faulty or some BIOS setting needs to be changed. Have you tried another cpu to verify?

Unfortunatly no as I only have this and the old AMD Opty.

I suppose I could try the latest beta Bios for the P5W DH.

Still would like some advice on the DSR point though guys just in case.

Just to update, Seems like ATI Cat 7.3's cause some major probs booting into windows. So I have reverted to 7.2 and alls appearing to be ok.

Buy your e6600.
