well guys after a power cut a friends display is really flickery,

system is an ancient p2 233 setup with a pci graphics card (ancient lol)

display is only flickery after this power cut and have tried a different monitor and its just as bad,

pulled the card and reinstalled drivers to see if it would make any difference, display isnt too bad at 85hz but the monitor isnt too happy supporting that and friend would rather get a long term fix,

questions

Am i right in thinking it will most likely be the graphics card thats fried somehow?

where the hell can i get a shiney new pci graphics card?????

Check a few auction sites, can be quite difficult to find a brand new standard PCI card. I'm running a PCI Voodoo 3 graphics card myself after RMAing my original 7800GT and it's running nicely at the moment, though suffering from screen lag.

Try picking those cards up from an auction or a fair. :)

u can still pick up pci cards from some etailers... 9200/9250's and 5200 pci card will set u back around £30 quid. ** mate should go for an upgrade :D
