Faulty GTA Disc?

Hi Guys,
I bought my copy of gta iv today from zavvi.

I put it in, started up the console. It got stuck on the opening screen where it has all the copyright stuff on it.

I restarted it and it did the same thing. So left it on the screen after a while it said Read Disc Error. So i ejected it and it had left a mark all the way around the centre of the disc.

Dont have a clue if it was there originally but the box was sealed when i got it so i assume not.

Tried a few other cds and they all worked fine.

Got my mate to bring his gta disc over and his seemed to work fine too.

Can i just take it back and get a replacement?

It could have been a slightly warped disc I suppose... although 360's are known to chew discs that worked perfectly prior so you can't rule out your console completely.

I would take it back to the shop but they may try to tell you it's Microsoft's problem, not sure.
