Faulty Hardware?

Hi, I have a bit of an issue with my relatively new PC.
All of these issues have been happening from since I built it (Jan 2015).
I simply ignored them because I thought they weren't much of a big deal.
But now, I am starting to think something is faulty and I may need to replace the part.

Component List -
EVGA GTX 980 Superclock ACX
Adata XPG 32gb DDR4 2133mhz ram
Intel i7 5820k (no overclock yet)
Crucial mx100 512gb ssd
WD Caviar black 1tb
Gigabyte X99 gaming 5
Superflower golden green 750w '80 plus gold'
H105 cpu cooler

Issue I have been having (all of which are intermittent faults)
- Inability to boot, pc restarts after bios screen - need to pull out all cables and leave it for a min for it to boot
- Doesn't detect OS - asks me to insert media
- led on mobo turn off + flash with audio levels
- Onboard audio (not HDMI audio) goes a bit crazy - crackling etc and a restart is needed

It now seems that nearly every time I turn on my PC I am greeted with one of the above (usually not being able to find media) and I have to unplug my PC cables a few times to get it to boot.

- All hardware purchased from OCUK

Note these do not happen all the time - it is random, but lately I am noticing it a lot more.
Does anyone know if they are symtoms for a faulty part?

Okay, I just checked im on BIOS version F3 and F8 is out. Since this is a brand new board should I risk flashing the BIOS, I have never done it before and I do not exactly want to brick it :/

Okay, every time I try to access the BIOS/Q-Flash my PC just flicks off and restarts. If I unplug the RAM and PSU cables etc I may be able to get into the BIOS, however, would this be safe? I don't want it to do its usual restart thing while I am updating the BIOS

Okay just had a look it says this : "Before using Q-Flash Plus, make sure to insert the USB flash drive into this port first" ... this is for the white USB port, I don't think it says anything else so I guess I just plug the USB in there instead of a standard usb port?

I've had a look at the video, I have the white usb and the qflash LED so I am fine there. But before the guy goes ahead with it in the video he says to rename the file to 'gigabyte.bin' , now the file name is 'X99G5.F8' do I change this to gigabyte.bin.f8 or get rid of the f8 completely?

Sorry I didnt post back, I didnt go ahead with it until I finished my exams recently. I updated the BIOS today to the latest one, and it fixed all my problems! However, whenever I try to get into the BIOS it just gives me a black screen. I downgraded the BIOS to the second latest one and still the same issue, any ideas?

Okay.. I cleared the cmos but now when the PC boots it shows no post screen but just the words A9 and a dash in another corner ( the same thing that used to happen when trying to get into the bios before) and only shows a black screen. The PC no longer boots into windows.. it's just stuck on this.

Thanks for the reply, I can't flash a new bios since I can't get it to show a post screen. The feature qflash plus only works if both the main and backup bios's fail, which is not happening apparently.

I don't think it's a short .. iv got a feeling its got something to with this A9 error im getting when trying to get into the bios. Umm iv been looking through the manual and I can't seem to find anything ahout a switch I think it automatically boots into the second bios if the first one fails. I will carry on looking

Success! I changed gpus, monitors, removed ram and nothing. But I unplugged both my hdd and sdd and it booted first time. I think the sad is causing some issues, as others online have got the a9 error and their ssds have been at fault

Yep everything is sorted now thanks. Only prob is everytime I want to boot into the bios I have to unplug my ssd. Im just going to wait a while for another bios update that hopefully solves the issue :)
