Hey guys,
Just a quick query. I got my new Iphone 3GS back at the end of June, and Ive only ever used the supplied apple headphones with the phone. they worked fine up until about 2 months ago. After this, the maximum sound level they produced fell by about 50%. I assumed id adjusted some settings in itunes or on the phone whilst messing about, but after checking, and after a friend got a new 3GS last week, I tried their headphones on my phone. The sound on them was back to what was normal, and at maximum output, was able to play sound twice as loud, meaning their has to be a fault with the headphones and not the phone itself.
Now I went to apples website at looking for an exchange for them, after eventually finding the right place and filling out all they wanted, at the end they asked for my credit card details.
The problem is, I dont have a credit card, I have no need for one, and their doesnt appear to be an option for debit cards at all. This along with the fact I dont live anywhere near an apple store, the cost of the train to get to the closest would be the same as a new pair of headphones.
So, is there anything else I can do, or will I actually have to take the hit for a fault that isnt my fault?
Thanks!
