Hello,
I’m sorry if this is not the right place for this request but I have an old Logitech MX518 mouse which is my absolute favourite mouse ‘ever’, I’ve tried newer mice but I’m just better with this one.
Unfortunately I have yet again knackered the cable where it goes into the body of the mouse and have run out of doner mice, the cables seem to be the same for most usb multi-button wheel mice including G series.
Before I get out the soldering iron and remind myself of my non existent soldering skills I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere I can get a second hand replacement cable cheap.
I’ve seen ones on ebay for around the £8 to £10 mark from China but was hoping to find one for less.
Thanks for any help.

Cheers,
Gary

I take it this cable plugs in to the board inside then? Soldering skills wise... mine suck but the 4 wires from USB I never have any kind of issue with.

Hey Mercutio,
The USB cable seems to break where it enters the ‘nose’ :) of the mouse.
I guess this is where it flexes the most with use.
Cheers,
Gary

cant you just strip a bit off the cable and resolder?
Yes mate, that's exactly what I've done in the past but unfortunately I'm so crap at soldering that it never lasts very long.
That's if I can cram the wires with a metre of electrical tape wrapped around them back in the mouse. :D
