Faulty Macbook

Recently bought a macbook which was sold for repair so got it cheap, the laptop powers up fine but there is no display.

I have hooked it up via an external display but get no picture still.

Have stripped the laptop right down and checked all the wires, chips etc and nothing seems broke/burn, any ideas what it could be?

replaced the HDD and checked both ram sticks, which are fine.

Only paid £30 for the laptop so if it cant be fixed, i can just sell it on for the same price.

GPU has gone most likely.

How expensive is that? does it mean replacing the whole logic board?

Yes, you'll need to replace the logic board.

GPU is part of the CPU (at least it is on later MBP's) which is soldered (for some obscure reason) to the logic board.

Cheers fellas, don't think ill bother spending money on it, just sell it for what i paid.
