Afternoon :)

I'm hoping you guys can shed a bit of light on this as something seems to have gone but I can't figure out which.

I've ruled out the pc as I still get signal on DVI. The monitor also works fine via HDMI as my ps4 works fine.

It's an R9 290 connected to a Samsung 32D850D. Woth the monitor connected with DP the most I can get out of it is the backlight flickering on and off every two seconds or so. If I unplug the DP whilst the pc is on, Windows makes it's familiar hardware disconnected sound.

Unfortunately I have no other DP devices to hand which I could use to rule out the gpu and the only other gpus I have don't have DP either.

Any ideas?

Yes, DP to DP.

It's sorted now, thank goodness and thanks for the replies. It was indeed the cable, JD was correct. First time I've had a cable fail in 31 years!
