Hey everyone was wondering if I could get some help diagnosing a big issue I'm having.

Specs:
RTX 3070 vision
ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO
Intel i7 10700k
32gb Corsair vengeance

So been using my pc I've built for about 7 months or so with no issues however all of a sudden I've been having issues with the boot process into windows. I'll boot in to the desktop then Immediately the whole OS will lock up and I won't be able to click or perform any actions aside from moving my cursor.
Clicking the mouse multiple times starts lagging the cursor like crazy until a bsod displaying the Uncorrectable error code. The boards RGB and argb header now no longer light up when powered on although the boards RGB is on when it's powered off which is strange.

Motherboard still displays A0 and I've tried reinstalling windows which seemed to help for a bit but is now presenting the same issues. Also tried resetting the bios and reseating all connections to no avail.

Any help with a diagnosis would be amazing

Ao is the bios handing over to Windows

Disable any overclocking and set memmory to default, could also try updating the bios.

Set your memory to stock and run memtest https://www.memtest86.com/, if it passes then try with the xmp profile on for the memory and if it fails on any of these then it will be bad ram.

Other thing to do is take the ssd drive out and run a crystaldiskinfo on it to check its health on a working machine or if you can get far enough into windows to test it:-

As said above, check your overclock and memory are stable.

If you'd have boot issues previously I'd also run sfc scannow to check no system files have been corrupted.

Are you using any old USB devices?

Hey guys thanks for the replies. Is weird very rarely it will boot up okay and I can use all of the functions like normal but I'd say 90 percent of the time it doesn't and just locks up immediately.

I currently don't have a usb drive on hand to run memtest rn so I ran the windows memory diagnostics tool with no errors. Also used crystal disk info and says it's 100%, changed m.2 slots to see also. Updated the bios and still the same issues. I did have a few power cuts in a row about a week ago, machine was turned off but still plugged in. Should I maybe do a completely fresh install of Windows from usb? :/

Do buy yourself a UPS. I have two Cyberpower VP1600EILCD UPS. I did a little review here and liked it so much I bought a second.

I wonder if the PSU has become damaged? Have you checked the SMART parameters of your storage devices for any worrying figures?
