I have a seasonic platinum 1000w psu. Recently whilst bleeding watercooling loop its been giving me problems whereby when you switch it on nothing happens. You have to toggle inbetween the on and off positions to make it work.
Its also causing start up issues i believe with the pc. Same thing happens in normal pc use mode as it does when psu is shorted.
Does anyone know if a faulty switch could cause this problem? Are the switches reasonable to replace? The warranty has long been voided on the psu so sending for repair is not viable.
I think a lot of switching on and off whilst bleeding may have taken its toll.
Thanks.

Take the psu apart and have a look, but if it causing problems i would replace it as it may take out other components if it fails.

I have had a quick butchers and it does look like it can be replaced. Having said that i would rate myself about 65% competent to replace it as im not 100% with electronics. I will see how it behaves a little longer and if not just replace it.
Cheers.
