Faulty ps4?

Just had it for a few days, first it randomly turned off and refuses to turn on now. The dark blue light comes on but not the white one.

Shall I return it to Argos ?

I can boot into safe mode and am trying to do a 276mb update but when it restarts it doesn't turn back on. It was on a extension now it's plugged into mains.
 
Just send it back for a new one. At the end of the day it shouldn't be doing this. My nephew had one that did the same and he got a new one straight away.

It could start working again but then you'll never know if it was something faulty until its too late.
 
Works after I did a reset to defaults in safe mode. But I did that yesterday too and it massed up later.

Really disappointed as I've had to spend ages download gta v
 
Got it returned for a new one, kept on turning off and refusing to start up apparently it's a known issue. Poor quality control Sony...
 
Now replacement model doing same thing. Wtf :confused:

Can't be power it's plugged into a wall socket on its own which has hosted a 60 inch tv and extensions fine for two years.

Can't be a cable as I'm using a different one now. Tried a different hdmi port.

Something with the tv? But then why does the ps4 not turn on all the way to the white light.

Second dodgy unit?
 
Taking plug out for one minute then plugging back in cures it. Well it didn't give me the error message it did last time when it turned off.

Checked the hdmi settings on tv viera link was set to turn off devices when not used. Have disabled it now. Not sure if it was that.
 
These are "known" issues according to PS forums, can be fixed by putting weight on top of the PS4 apparently. Loose connection or something, well cable box is on top of it now. Happens again refund time.

Well this one is now returned also. Good thing I never opened the game. Let me keep my twenty pound vouchers out of good will.

Just hope it wasn't my tv, as I still need to order one. I've bought another controller and gta v and years sub of ps+.
