Hi all,

Ive recently swapped from a 5800x based system to a 7950x3d, i kept the same 3080ti FE and SSD's etc along with my 850w Corsair PSU, a few times recently when ive been playing a game it will just instantly shut down and wont restart without switch the psu off and back on and then hitting the pc case power button, does this sound like a faulty psu, when its done it ive noticed that the psu is relatively warm so maybe a thermal protection thing? would a 850w be enough for a pc in my sig? its a RM850 specifically

You could try turning the CPU turbo off and/or downclocking/power limiting the 3080 Ti. If it fixes it, then that's a big clue.

In theory, the power draw shouldn't be much different when gaming, but the more powerful CPU may be causing your graphics card to be under heavier load.
