Hi there only plugged in this keyboard the other day and im experiencing some issues which i have read are somewhat common with the mk85.
1.) Every now and then whilst typing, the leds flash and my keyboard will press a key repeatedly without me pressing it. e.g eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
2.) Every now and then my leds will flash on the keyboard and during this time anything I type doesnt register.
3.) A specific problem. Whilst playing some games. After holding down the 'w' key to move forward for a while it will stop moving forward and it seems as if i have took my finger off the key even though i havent.

I cant return it either as its past 30 days of purchase but my new pc has only just been built and i only just tested the keyboard pretty much.

Is there anything I can do to fix it myself, or am I screwed basically and will have to buy a new keyboard

Have you tried simple things - changing USB port / uninstalling and reinstalling software that came with it? Other than that it sounds faulty. Did you buy it as a B-Grade item? Sounds like someone else had issues if this is the case and it was returned...

If it's faulty you have a year, if it's faulty and you want to blag European law you may get two years.

The keyboard also has a 2 year warranty.

If it's faulty (it is) and you didn't damage it return the damn thing.

ive tried all the usb ports but still nothing and they all work. I reinstalled the software also. There is a 'G' lit up if that means anything. It's next the bit that show if caps lock and numlock are on/ off

I purchased my MK-85 in Nov-2012, it lasted until 28-Mar-2013, then the keyboard lights stopped working. RMA'd to OCUK and 3 weeks later got a new keyboard.

The key switches are great, but QPAD's electronics appear to be less than satisfactory.

Holding down the [Fn] key together with F12 toggles game mode (the [G] light at the top right of the keyboard). Use game mode when editing/creating macros.

did you just return them then? its a shame. apart from these issues its a good keyboard as well. I guess ill just have to send it for repair to the manufacturer and buy a replacement in the meantime. Any recommendations guys? Was thinking a corsair vengeance. Could do with one that has orange leds

@Olivier, I have done yeah but Ive took all the things outta the ports now

I've done for a while, but the lights starting acting up. I've sent them an email about that but they never replied. I guess I was lucky, and didn't burn out the electronics, but I believe it's correlated. The USB pass through cannot handle it. My keyboard works fine and the lights stopped acting up, I only plug low power devices on it, like the mouse. I also use the lowest lighting level, which is plenty enough for me.
