On power up one day my 920 (@1600ddr) rig emitted a few more beeps than normal and proceeded to constantly cycle a reboot. On investigation I decided it was one particular stick of ram that caused this (had 6x4GB in it). So, the pc would not boot with that stick of ram installed .. in an amd rig (@1333ddr) it would start up to windows but then a BSOD.

So, getting ready to RMA it I ran memtest and it passed a number of cycles everytime .. I then ran memtest with 2x4GB modules and it failed every time at the same point (don't recall which point now tbh). I have used memtest a lot over the years but this is the first time that I have seen this ...

All is well though as I posted the RAM off to Kingston Monday this week and got the brand new sealed pack replacement today ! Impressive :) Looking at the original OcUK invoice 2 years ago its's near on double the price now for the same ram (with same model no)!
