Faulty Ram Stick

i built my new rig 2 weeks ago and it was all running fine then all of a sudden i was getting random bsod for different components, at first i thought i was my graphics card as there was screen resoulution problems, then i thought it was my ssd, after rebooting my comp and removeing every component and testing them in an old pc eventually found i had a ram stick that wasnt working, but i didnt think a faulty ram stick could cause random bsod especially messing with my screen reso, can a faulty ram stick cause that much problems or do u think the bsods might come back, its been running fine for about 8 hours now

Yep faulty RAM can easily cause BSOD. Run it through Memtest86 to confirm it is faulty

thanks i thought it was a gadget or somethinh that tested the ram lol, sorry im a beginner at pc building, this was my first build
