Faulty RAM stick?

I have 8gb of Corsair Vengeance LP, both sticks pass memtest, one stick boots and runs flawlessly with no errors but when I swap to test the other stick I just get constant crashes and BSOD with all manner of BCcodes.

I've also tried the same test in another mobo with the same results, I initially thought this was a bad RAM slot on my main board but I must have mixed up the sticks when testing which confused matters.

Are RAM failures common? It's only a month old and all I did was install it and run it's XMP, it was fine up until the other day when I started getting all sorts of crashes etc.

Well I've tried the RAM in a completely different mobo just to be sure before RMA'ing the board and it fails in the other board as well.

Just rebuilt the system with my old RAM and it runs fine, I don't actually need the RMA on the RAM so it's a pity they don't just do a straight refund, might as well stick with my old RAM.
