Faulty RAM?

Been having major problems installing XP, BSODs all over the place whilst its trying to install.

Ran Memtest-86 through my sticks of RAM and am getting a lot of errors.

The test i just ran was going for nearly 2 minutes and has picked up 663 errors by test 4, and has now stopped.

As far as i can see its given me a whle long list of failing addresses, but i dont really know what this means.

Im guessing however that my RAM is buggered (dispite it being a brand new purchase).

Just wondering if tis explains the symptoms of windows errors such as Bad_Pool_Header, Memory_Management and Driver_Irql_Not_Less_Or_Equal (a selection of some of my BSODs)

or whether i have other problems as well.

Any throughts on the situation?

Cant, unfortunately whilst the parts are new they have been sitting in my room in their box for about 6 weeks waiting for me to get round to doing the upgrade (been busy finishing my degree!) guess im gna need some new ram.

Getting errors on both sticks as well! Last time i buy OCZ Ram!

Only other thing i would ask is if this could be a CPU problem?

What make is the RAM? I'm sure that Kingston / Crucial have lifetime warranties on their RAM, so the six week thing wouldn't matter...

Legal reseller warranty is a year... you can RMA it to the vendor. Or you could send it direct to OCZ if they support that.
