Hi,

I bought the below RAM from OC few days ago.

TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

So I installed the RAM and next day I was getting random crashes and BSOD (Bad_Pool_Header). I was also getting a lot of CRC errors when I tried installing games which I copied to my desktop from a external drive (i tried these games on my laptop and there was no CRC errors)

I checked online and it seems that my RAM may be the problem. So I decided to test is with Memtest86.

I'm currently on pass 2 of 4 and its already showing around 117,000 errors.

You think this RAM is Faulty ?

yeah if its throwing errors, what motherboard? be sure to try latest motherboard bios and try enabling xmp memory profile in the bios

then see if errors crop up,if so test one stick at a time could be a faulty stick even so both sticks/kit should be rma'd

hi m8,

My motherboard is Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87. I installed the ram in the dual channel memory slots in the motherboard. I then enabled xmp memory profile so I could change the frequency to 2400MHz. When I did this the correct timings showed up in the bios which were 11-13-13-35.

Is this the right way of doing it ?

Before throwing it back to ocuk a couple of questions.

What is the rest of your rig, specs, oc? etc

memory channels run direct back to cpu so if your heavily overclocked or you have a duff IMC you would get massive amounts of mem errors with ok memory
