My brother bought a RAT (I think 3) a while ago, but never managed to get it to work. I offered to try (He's not very tech savy...) But only just got round to it (I'm away from home at Uni most of the time).

I tried it on my laptop, installed the latest drivers from the Saitek website, and it *almost* works.

All the mouse buttons etc seem to work fine, however there's no movement.

I'm pretty sure this would mean it's faulty, right?

Has anyone else had something like this, and it's didn't turn out to be faulty, just something they were doing wrong?

Probably going to try RMAing it when I get back home next weekend, unless someone can give me an idea on something else that would be the reason for it not working properly.

Surface is good (not a glass surface) ? (i know... but start with the silly things)

Laser is clean nothing covering it or anything ?

Try a different mouse, Movement ok?

If all that is fine, Call them and shout untill you get a replacement. :D

Surface is good (not a glass surface) ? (i know... but start with the silly things) - Yea, surface is fine (Hell, a £5 optical works on it...)

Laser is clean nothing covering it or anything ? - It's fine.

Try a different mouse, Movement ok? - As above, also does the same on my laptop.

If all that is fine, Call them and shout untill you get a replacement. :D - Think this is what I'm going to do next weekend/next week.
