Bought a 850W Gold at the start of the month and started getting intermittent power failures. the freq steadily increased until it got to a point where I would only get a CPU LED and then a fail to boot.

Swapped CPU - same thing.
Swapped RAM sticks - same thing

Thought It might be the old Mobo dying so bought a newer version

booted once and then back to the red CPU light issue. reseated plugs a few times as well.

Plug in my old PSU (old Corsair 800GS)..... and it all works fine.

Has anyone experienced a similar failure within such a short space of time?

Not with Superflower but we've had PSU's arrive DOA, go faulty within 2 days (Corsair AX1200+) or last a month.

With what you've tried I'd concur that it's likely to be your PSU, Can you test the PSU on another rig? If it does the same then I'd speak to OCUK and get it replaced.

Yeah, I've had them arrive completely dead (a few years back on a corsair) but never such a quick fail.

Unfortunately I've got a spare everything apart from a separate rig! Think I will send it back, just a pain when its something like the PSU. I feel its a lot harder to prove a fault with them! thanks for the confirmation
