after much testing over the weekend i have come to the conculsion that the reason why my 7800gs is under performing is that it temp sensor is faulty and therefore the Throttle back function of the card , iskeeping my car running at a very low clock rate.
is there
a) any way to check what the clock rate the card is running at (not just setting it)
b) turning off that fuction of the driver
