I have a C2D E2180 that I want to overclock, but at stock speeds it's 53 idle and shoots upto 85 as soon as I start using prime 95, at which point cpuz and coretemp both show the cpu throttling. The case is cool and I've reseated the stock cooler with AS5, so I can't see how the temp can rise like that without breaking the 1st law of thermodynamics.
