Faulty XT850X - Screen all to pot

My system is :

MSI K8N Neo2 MB
Athlon 64 3000
2 GB Crucial ddr 3200
sata 80GB
ide 80GB
Powercolor XT850T

I had some problems at the onset of buying this card and decided to upgrade Mobo and cpu as per above. Now the card is getting worse, all games including 3dmark03 start breaking *** screen view in to all sorts of garbage. The fan is running and I have pleanty cooling. My old card ATI 9600 pro rusn a dream so it must be a faulty card.

I picked up on another forum that there was a bad batch of these cards - anyone else having problems.

Have you tried completely removing drivers and then doing a fresh install?

several times, up to the latest and then down to the ones that came packeged.

CPU temp is maintained, and problem only started a few days ago - had the card 1 month played fine.

A flicker in game will start in one corner and then distortion will spread accross screen with matrix style print running up screen and then severe traingular spectrums distorting screen, once game closed the desktio slowly returns to normal. I think that the card is overheating and I will arrange return.
