Fav Half-life 2 level?

Hmmm, I would say the bridge level - could almost feel the vertigo up there! But I loved all the levels - don't think there was a bad one in there. Amazing game - I voted for it in the current "best games ever" thread ;)
 
I like the buggy levels and bridge bit. The buggy parts were just long enough I thought, travelling along the coast and stopping off to pwn combine was awesome :D

I thought Ravenholm was good but I'm not really a fan of the whole pitch black can't see a thing ness.
 
Have any of you guys tried the black hole grenade trick in HL2 where it sucks just about everything onscreen into the vortex? thought I might reload the game to try it LOL ,is it any good :D

this is in a gamer mag - load up the game -go into options menu -click on keyboard-then advanced & then put a tick in 'enable dev console box '
Now start the game & when you are in an area where an atomic anomaly of unlimited energy may be of some use - i.e lots of enemies etc. press the tilde key & type - hopwire_vortex 1 & press enter , then type 'give weapon_hopwire.

you have now given yourself a weapon no mortal was ever meant to possess LOL
When you are ready -throw it to the ground & then press 'attack' to activate it
This 'portable black hole 'is stored in a halflife2 roller mine & when activated will suck everything in inc/ people,rocks, furniture, consoles etc.

YHeah i hated them levels. got fed up with the buggy level so i cheated and skipped it :D

I can't get it to work, says unknown command :(
 
try this way instead or type hopwire in google & see pics of this effect

This cheat gives you a black hole grenade, it was put in the game, but never added in any mission. It will probably be a weapon in Half Life 2: Episode 2.
Start up Half Life 2: Episode 1
Open up the console
sv_cheats 1
hopwire_vortex
give weapon_hopwire
