Favourite episodes of Black mirror - Mine is Demon 79 (S6)

This episode was brilliant. Rather political and satirical and it also reminded be somewhat of the style of Life on Mars.

Other favourites for me were the Star Trek parody episode (USS Callister) and Bandersnatch.

There's a lot I haven't seen yet though.

The politician in it is a direct reference to mouth frothers, like Enoch Powell.

Bandersnatch was a freaking project rather than a single episode. Recommend that to anyone who hasn't 'watched' it yet.

Not everyone liked Demon 79 it seems, as it doesn't adhere to the standard Black Mirror tech dystopia theme.

Meh - The Simpsons has the Treehouse of Horror episodes, I don't see the problem in deviating from the format.

Maybe this episode doesn't have the same appeal to a US audience, who aren't particularly familiar with the culture or history of the setting?

The ending was a bit average I suppose, I'm not sure if it had much meaning beyond fatalism. It seemed like it ended too promptly

Is there anyone who dislikes Black Mirror as a whole?

It's not the most casual / relaxing TV to watch, so I can see why it might not appeal to some.

I really liked Charlie Brookers yearly screen wipe shows and wish they would come back, I find his style of humour hilarious.

He wrote A Touch of Cloth as well which was also great.

'How TV Ruined Your Life' was brilliant also, so I miss the old shows he used to do. Still got Cunk though! An excellent name for a true modern day philosopher.
