Hey guys,

So, I self owned myself the past couple of weeks by removing my router and forgetting to enable my software firewall and I had so much crap on my system I ended up formatting and I decided to try Vista and it's been a successful transition. Vista is very nice and I haven't had any issues so far.

Anyhow, I'm interested to know what people are using on their systems to protect themselves from the nasties.

I was using AVG and ad-aware along with the windows firewall. AVG and ad-aware couldn't find the adware/spyware that was destroying my browser when I had issues. Spyware doctor did funnily enough but I'm not paying for that tripe.

I'm thinking of giving NOD32 another try, it wasn't an annoyance to use like AVG, Norton and Mcafee.

Any other recommendations?

Symantec Endpoint Protection (AntiVirus+AntiSpyware with Optional Firewall - I don't use it though)
Windows Firewall
Spybot S+D
Ad-Aware 2008 Free
