It struck me in the wee hours that my favourite cd covers (and photos really) all seem to be in sepia tone. So i'm wondering what marvellous sepia covers i'm missing out on. No doubt no-one will reply, but worth a go. I'll start us off..

Lots of pixies/larbalestier/4ad covers.
The band - The band.
Blind Faith.
Hope Blisters.
Belle and Sebastian- dog on wheels.
Modern English - after the snow.
Tim Milistver.

Not aiming at any particular genre or anything, though mine seem a bit guitary (tis all i have on cd. That's the problem with downloading, no artwork :(..)

Led Zeppelin II has a fantastic sepia jacket

It's a pity people don't make as much effort on cover art as they used to.

By Sepia Tone do you mean black and white photographs that have faded are in shades of brown as opposed to black. I can only find one that is slightly like that in all of mine:

The Best Of The Doors - The Doors

Indeed :), basically colourless apart from red/yellow. Like the pic of the zep in the cover posted above :).

Righto will go through the vinyl, bound to be somthing in there. :p

Edit:

Only found one really,

Bob Dylan - Pat Garret and Billy The Kid.

Also found the gayest Rod Stewart LP ever.

Indeed. I was never part of the vinyl generation but I do own a couple and I think people would be more inclined to buy music if they could take home a large square display, almost the size of a small display picture, with gatefolds and inner cover art and what have you. Instead of a mass produced disk, some plastic and a plasticy smelling booklet :(

I think this is a great cover, and a good album itself too:

Delays - Faded Seaside Glamour

The only other 2 I can think of at the moment are both Belle & Sebastian:

A maybe interesting sidenote; that's Kristin and Gyda, the two singing sisters, from Múm.

The only album I can think to add at this moment is Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man - Out of Season:

I think she was trying to imitate the expression in the B&S cover :D.

I'm sure there is at least one Jethro Tull cover is sepia.
The Groundhogs ''Thank Christ for the Bomb''

to the OP, my original copy of Blind Faith is the full colour 'naughty' one.
