Fear 3 or F3AR

...This kind of flew under my radar. Never been a huge fan of the games, I thought 2 was decent but I got sidetracked by some other game then never played it again.

I never quite got the fuss over the first game, thought it was a pretty bland shooter.

And this has multiplayer, whats it like is it like left 4 dead or do you shoot each other?

Is the story mode captivating and I will want to play it to its conclusion?

It's pretty fun. Not spectacular and not scary (a few jump moments but no all out atmosphere), however as an action game it's brilliant. Especially if you can find it cheap somewhere.

im playing Fear 3,and really enjoying it, the cover system and rock solid shooting mechanic is second to none, great atmosphere too with the speakers cranked up

Just finished it, great fun with some nice touches (like the cover system mentioned). I felt the story and cutscenes were weak but I never found that interesting in any of the previous versions either.
