This is out on Friday(24/6/11)

I personally enjoyed both games so far, granted the first was a tad bit repetitive in its environments but I still thought it was a great game. The second wasn't as good, but enjoyable none the less.

On a side note, I did find the first game to be quite jumpy, but not so much in the second.

I've managed to find Fear 3 for £29.99 new on Gameplay's website, it also includes an extra weapon for one of the multi-player modes.

Anyone got this yet? Any good? I loved the first and it's expansions, only got a little way in to number 2, but this one looks pretty good... quite a good "scare factor" from what I have seen.
 
I really enjoyed the previous games, but weirdly I've not really seen or heard anything about this one yet. Time to do some watching...
 
Yeah it's gone a bit under the radar this one, but the vids I saw it looked quite good... Graphics improved quite a bit also. Just like to get people's opinion on here before I bag a copy!
 
Got my copy today and i must say i'm really enjoying it.

Graphics are decent, nothing on the level of crysis 2 but not terrible. Story seems ok but it is more action than cut scenes and it sticks to it's roots of trying to make you **** your pants! On quite a few occasions it's made the hair on my neck stand up :o

One thing the reviews don't tell me is how the Levelling up/perks/ranking works? Can you give me some info on how it works? When you rank up what do you get? Can choose from perks? Or just get given certain ones? And just killing enemies give you "XP" to get the levelling up?
 
Mine arrived this morning but until its dark im not playing it hehe, Once its dark FEAR3 w/ Surround sound on and then ill likely be abit creeped out like the first 2 did to me!

Also was noted in a review that it does sound even better if surround sound is an option for people here.
 
I'm a bit skeptical of this. I love the F.E.A.R. series but this one being made by someone else has put me off...

Will wait for reviews! :)

Their are loads of challenges, such as 3 head whilst in slo mo, 10 kills without taken damage, so many kills with a certain gun etc...You don't get to choose the perk, it just give you something such as extra slow mo, health, hold more clips etc...
 
Well half way into 2nd level i think and im enjoying it, i found the prison (first level) due to how dark it was quite creepy along with the surround sound as you hear ever little laugh or out of place sound so to speak.

Im already enjoying it more than 2 and i thought 2 was a good game.
 
I got this for the PS3 yesterday, I did the first 4 levels last night and really enjoyed it.

I don't think it's as scary as the original but for gameplay it's really good, graphics are nice ad smooth on the PS3. I haven't tried it online yet but will do later today.
 
Just picked this up, played the first level and enjoying it so far !

Finished FEAR 2 today and rolled straight onto number 3.

The jump in graphics from the 2 is really noticeable :D

Add me on Live "BEN 01UK" for some coop/multi action :)

I finnaly got scared earlier (can't remember which level it is, but its the one were your in the mall), was climbing up some ladders, lowered my aim and there was Alma staring at me...
 
I'm currently playing through this on the 360. GunslingerHydra is my tag if anyone wants to play some MP. I tried to add you Ben, but it said your name doesn't exist.
