FEAR won't install...

Everytime I try and install F.E.A.R it says I don't have enough space, now I have well over 100Gb free on both my C and D drives, what gives?

Tried Googling and can't find anything helpful.

Clear

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp

Usually gets fill of files, CC cleaner won't remove them..

On Vista but I clear Temp folders and still won't work, also tried rebooting...never had a problem install FEAR in the past! :mad:

I thought C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp is locked out, even for your own account? Need to change security/ownership or something.

installed FEAR on Vista ok...just had to use the creative alchemy eax thing.

Is it the latest FEAR (Perseus Mandate) cause I know that had an issue with the installer if you tried to change the path.

Might sound silly, but have you checked which directory it is being installed to? It could be trying to write to your dvd drive or something.

Yup, tried both hard drives well over 100Gb free.

Tried running it as an Administrator?

Curious - just wondering, what file system are your disks partitioned to? Are they both NTFS?

Do you have an external HDD, even smallish one or large USB stick - format it to FAT, and try that.

I have no idea why im suggesting this, but im scraping for thoughts..... my FEAR has never had any problems, installers are such crap at times tho!
