I have had a hockey stick stolen recently, and its very very upsetting. Its hard to explain, but the cost is not the issue. I have played my most successful season yet with this new stick.

I am really miffed as now some other ****** is playing with MY stick, its not like it can be sold on. I now have to fork out 120 quid for a replacement which is almost as annoying

Maybe im making a fuss over something trivial, but its really got to me. I find it takes a few games to get used to a stick, and now with an important end to the season approaching i have to start all over again :(

Feel for you.

I remember back in high school someone stole my keeper gloves, was miffed so bad (trying very hard not to swear) ended up breaking a finger punching the drinks machine outside the changing room.

Stopped playing in goal after that, wanted to play as a left back as the person who i think i knew stole them always played right-wing. Next games session i nailed him with a great two-footed studs showing tackle that nearly snapped him in half.

After that i really enjoyed playing out of goal, and gradually made my way upfront and now play as a striker, which i emjoy so much more. So glad he did really, in a funny way.

you THOUGHT he stole them so you did that?

and even if he did, doing what you did makes you even worse, i hope someone tackles you and breakes your legs tbh :)

You're not making a fuss over nothing, it is obviously very important and valuable (not £) to you. I hope you find them soon. How did you lose them?

@ Dokko, why did you think that right winger stole your gloves? I would have thought another goalie would have stolen them if they were new. ;)

I had just played, put the stick on or in (dont remember exactly) bag. I then left the bag on the pitch with all the other players whilst i went to the loo.

Thats the only concievable time it could have been taken. So its almost certainly another player. Im hoping it was picked up by another player by accident and they will realise when they next dig into their stick bag :(

Im now having problems finding the stick anywhere in the correct size. Looks like i might have to move up a model, which means 150quid extra cost now. Although perhaps thats the silver lining, if any?

Because he was a little you know what. Plus i was told through whispers who it was, end of the day, the place was packed, and people saw him.

Just plain utter, trouble, and he deserved everything he got.

You must had had that type of person at school? little thief, proper chancer, bully, wanna be etc...?

Just this time he got some back :)

Thankyou, i'll keep that in mind.

You might have went to a posh all girls school or something, but up here, our's are full of Charva's and idiot's, theives and ^&%$%'s.

If you knew him or met him, you'd want to do more than that.

Hope your house get robbed and your insurance doesn't cover you.

Exactly.

I was seen as an easy target in the first year i was there. Swat, nice kid, easy pickings.

Things like this just toughened me up, and in the end, left me not being bullied through high school.

Hit em back, with severe savage force, it means you'll not get anymore trouble whatsoever. This games lesson was perfect. I couldn't have jumped on him after school as A: He'd be with all his cronies, B: He was a hard, C: It wouldn't have been the last of it.

C: Was the worst one, but with nowt being said that i knew who took them, and that the tackle could have been an acident as i was a goalie (who'd lost his gloves and now wanted to play outfield, karma or what?), nothing happened, apart from his injury.

It was actually my Dad's idea, either i did something, or he'd report it to the Head, so i took matters into my own feet.

Totally agree!

You should have confronted him and given him the chance to return it, if he denied it then you should have said everyone saw him take it and that unless it was returned or paid for then you would be going to the police with the witness’s.

Resorting to serious physical violence because something was stolen from you just shows how pathetically materialistic you are!!!

I would not be surprised with your warped sense of justice that you agree with some primitive laws in other countries where people still get their hands chopped off for stealing
