You know how it is, sometimes you just get sick of drinking beer and wine.

Looking for something tasty, not a fan of coke or sugary drinks though. Rum, whiskey or vodka with some kind of mixer? anyone got some suggestions?

Sounds good, may try that.

I like it because it's not very sweet and it's very refreshing. If you had more of a sweet tooth I would suggest using lemonade instead of soda (soda being the carbonated water from the pub soft drinks tap, not cream soda of course ;))

pims and lemonade

what what

(should have been w o t, w o t but it stars it out when you put it as a whole word? any ideas as to why?) *** ***

Vodka and orange or vodka and cranberry are both quite tart drinks but nice. Dark rum and orange e.g. OVD is quite refreshing but tastes very sweet.

Gin & tonic is always a good choice.

Don't mix a decent single malt with coke, a smidgeon of water or an ice cube is about as much as you should put in and even then it depends on the whisky. If it's a cheap blend then mix it with whatever you want.

Victoria Wine I'm guessing, same group as Haddows and The Local I believe.

I'll have to be on the look out for a capirinha now as it sounds tasty.

It's such an awesome drink. Much better on a hot day. But I drink it when ever I get an excuse. You do need crushed ice though.
Buy a bag of ice and just stick it in a blender and pulse it a few times.

Place usually only stock one type of it, so you may well miss it.
One popular version which can be found in threshers and the like is called sagatiba.
looks like this http://sagatiba.us/#/

best of just asking though.
Also if you have a las liguans(sp) near you, go in before 7pm as it's 2 for 1 on cocktails and try it. Usually £5 each bt 2 for 1 and it brings it down to normall drink price. See how it's meant to be done.
