Fed up with norton

Ok i got a belkin router/adsl2+ modem and its got firewall (enabled) and NAT. but i still think software firewall is great because some times u get virus or trojans when u goto sites and some times when u download a rar say from bittorrent/imash u can get programs that try to access the net. software firewall lets u control what goes out. thats why i like software firewall

In my many years of trying different AntiVirus programs Kaspersky is the overall best that I have come across.

You forgot one thing about kaspersky, its slows down your pc as hell, i dont like a av wich scans everything i do all the time, slowing down even just browsing on the hdd, made opening folders like 3 times slower for me as usual...
In my experience from : norton, avg, nod32, macafee, kaspersky,

NOD32 is the best....

NOD32 is the way to go for AV
Use windows firewall for firewall together with your router and u have pretty much un-inpenatrable protection...

Kaspersky doesn't slow my pc down any more than Nod32 did. Uses less RAM than nod32 did too. A full scan does take longer than nod did but by not too much.

Thats odd, kaspersky turned my pc into a lagmachine, while nod32 didnt affect speed at all.

Cant comment on full system scan, as i dont do one more than once a year... (overnight, so dont really watch duration...)

That was one of the big factors that moved me to NOD32, was its ability to run in the background without dragging down the system like the others i've tried.

Not tried Kaspersky but i've no reason to change just yet.
