Hi all, as per title really, I've 'chosen' to go big before I went home after a few drinks tonight, the model is LG 43UM7000pla, currently on sale in UK for £280 and some 5% cashback later on.

few video searches now i'm home and the whole 43 um7000 -7400 range seem to be exactly the same panel spec bar the google/alexa stuff that I don't want, so with any luck the response time in game mode should be the 12ms i'm reading. which i'm perfectly fine with for getting some better colours to look at.

the slightly less drunk side of me sees it as a pretty ok spec, it's going to be placed on an ikea fredde desk/ wall mounted away from it maybe as I've not even measured anything and replacing my trusty benq xl2420t 144hz which I'm sure i'll hold onto still.
the rig is a 6700k, gtx 1070, I appreciate that I have no way of running maxed out games anymore going from 1080 to 4k but my ~~incredible~~ idea is to basically treat it like 4 1080p monitors for most stuff and full screen 4k on anything that'll do 60fps (older stuff)
not interested in HDR really and don't expect anything great at the price, have I done goofed or is this not so stupid?
looking past the obvious 60hz- i don't know if i can overclock this at a lower res yet, researching after buying clearly, sober me will have a proper dig tomorrow.....
Looking for thoughts from people who understand all the techy breakdowns from the site links thank you.
