FedEx Scam?

Just got in and there's a blank FedEx 'missed you' card through my door. On the back, in sharpie, is 'phone 07970xxxxxx to sort'.

It's a mobile number and can't find anything online about it.

I'm not expecting anything. Is this some sort of new scam going around - you phone the mobile number and they try get you to do something? Or claim they're FedEx and charge for "re-delivery"?

I'd hazard a guess it'll be "there's a MacBook for delivery, need to pay £100 in custom fees, can you give me your card details"

I'd either call the number withheld or call FedEx and ask if they have any consignments at your address

Of course. Like I said in OP - I'm not expecting anything, I'm just interested. Also kind of surprised it's a legit FedEx sticker. I guess they nicked a pile from somewhere.

Why assume a scam? It could be a nice surprise present for you from an admirer. Or the driver could have gone to the wrong address and it's actually something bought by one of your lovely neighbours. Or maybe you've just been "sleep shopping" on the Internet again...

Get your credit card ready and give that number a call. ;)

Not expecting a delivery, check.

Blank form, check.

mobile number scribbled on, check.

Seems legit :/

If in doubt:
