Fedora (16) + ATI + HDMI

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of Fedora, or probably the ATI cards in general with HDMI for Audio & Video. I'm thinking of migrating my server to Amahi, but would require the hdmi for XBMC.

Briefly setup an eMachines ER1401 (nVidia) running Fedora 16.
Audio (5.1) sent over HDMI was a bit of a pain to setup, but it all worked.

Performance was actually better in Win7 (XBMC playback) so I ended up dropping Fedora.
