Hi There,
Just done a fresh install of FC5 and have managed to muck up my boot partition.
I was messing around in the new Logical Volume Manager app setting up my data drives as arrays etc and I have a feeling I've managed to delete the boot partition (not my finest moment it must be said!). Its not a huge problem to re-install its just a bit of a shame as I spent hours yesterday getting everything set up as I like it.
On boot I basically get the Grub bash like console, I think as it can't find the partition and Kernel. I had a look at Linux Rescue from the DVD and wasn't sure what I would need to do to recover the lost partition and copy a Kernel to it (pretty new to the way FC5 now uses volumes rather than the straight device and partition numbers I'm more familiar with i.e. hda1 etc).
I also quickly looked at seeing if anaconda would be clever enough to realise there was no kernel on an upgrade install and fix it, this didn't seem to help either.
Any suggestions as to how I can fix this,
Yours slightly embarrased due to my stupidity!
