However, your clients aren't your users.
Have a think about why your users go to the sites, what are the most common things people click on? Could those tasks be made easier?
It's quite easy to fall into the trap of making news the first thing people see, when it's not often the thing they most want.
In terms of design, you won't win any awards, but your design makes the information clear - nothing stands out as 'bad'.
