I'm due a new desktop pc which I use for various things, gaming being the most demanding.
I have 3 Benq XL2410T 24" TRUE 120Hz 3D monitors and I ideally I want the PC to be able to play supported games in 3d vision surround at native resolution. With that in mind, I'm look for some feedback on the spec below. Is there anything that you feel is under or over specified?
MB - SI Z68MA-ED55 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155). £129.98
Proc - Intel i7 2600k 3.4ghz (Sandybridge). £244.99
GPU - Gainward GTX 580 Phantom 3GB (2 in SLI). £919.96
RAM - Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB. £67.99
PSU - OCZ ZX Series 1000W. £149.99
CPU Cooler - Corsair Hydro H80. £84.98
I've not considered the case yet, it won't be on show so I'll be going for something functional and nothing more. I want the rig to be as quiet as (cost effectively) possible, any suggestions on the components or case on that score please?
I've already got Hard & optical Drives to put in the rig.
