evening all,

I've had my gaming PC around 3 or 4 years now, after having bought it on ebay and it could do with a service. SSD is full which is causing problems when i'm trying to update programs, iTunes for example (i didn't intentionally install it on SSD, it just happened)

It's mainly used for browsing the internet, listening to music and at times, very low-graphic games; e.g Football Manager.

I'd be increasing both HDD and SSD storage. Swapping out current 128GB for 500GB SSD, and adding a 2Tb HDD to the current 1Tb, and would like to start alllllll over again. SSD wipe and fresh install of Windows 10. HDD Wipe so it's pretty much blank. Does the OCUk store offer this service?

Also, thinking about it now, i have a wifi card installed; would a total wipe cause problems for reconnecting that?

I feel like i should quit the forum due for making this post... :p

No, OCUK wouldn't offer a Windows install service. Any installation would need driver installs unique to your PC. It's so easy to install Windows anyhow, and if you struggle we can help.

As far as your wifi card is concerned download the drivers for it before you wipe and stick them on a USB stick. Once you have the internet up and running you can download all the other drivers you need.

I very much doubt OCUK would do it, it's not worth it for them. Try and find a local PC shop/Friend that can help.

It's a good idea, sounds like you need some help with the execution. You could try it yourself, it's not hard.

thanks for your replies :) I've heard it's a very simple thing to do but actually doing it concerns me :p Will contact a couple of local stores and see what sort of prices they'd charge, or maybe yes, do it myself :p

I was originally on Win 8 however got the free upgrade from Microsoft. While i have my product key, i don't have a disk. Is there any way I can use the product key i already have or would i have to purchase another version? Or possibly download on to a memory stick again?

check out some vids on youtube on how to re install windows / how to wipe hard drives and fresh install windows and see if its something you are comfortable trying.
You are planning a total wipe anyway so if you do mess it up or get stuck the Computer shop option is still available to you.

I don't use win 10 myself, but have installed it a few times.

It has to be one of the most easy windows install up to date. Don't sweat it dude.

When you do this you will have your old SSD with windows on, so even if you need help or it does not work you can fall back onto that while you resolve the problems.
