Probably because it has blue highlights and that fits with the scheme

Looks like a beast system and great aesthetics as well!

Bingo! Any Asus or Gigabyte Z97 motherboard would clash horribly with the other components and the choice of motherboard has very little impact on the real world performance, stability or reliability of the end product.
