I backed this on Kickstarter, and had a go on the prototype over the weekend.

All I can say is wow!

Have never been convinced by driving games, but Project Cars was genuinely fun when paired with the simulator.

Mark put up a quick short video of me talking about it on the kickstarter page.

for raw footage see this: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/363371099

it's a bit noisy but that is because he used the wrong bolts when he reassembled it - it should be fixed in the final version.

you can try elite dangerous this saturday or next saturday at the demo.

G-forces were spot on - acceleration and braking. I could really feel the car when the back slid out, overcorrecting into oscillations felt quite similar to when it's happened IRL.

Since I've been home I've started putting flight time into VTol VR - the dev is interested in the simulator so fingers crossed.

there was only one other backer there - it was short notice, like two days or something. I'm sure that some more backers will give some feedback over the next weeks.

i am tempted to go back and take a look at elite dangerous..

being brutally honest, kickstarters are never on time. they are like german trains (have waited for years to say that).

i have no reason to think this one will be delayed, but also i have no reason to think that the timetable was ever realistic and not just an aspiration.
