so after a couple of well drilled holes (oh err missus :eek:)

i went from this unholy mess, (please ignore the time/date stamp)

just gotta figure how to tidy up the sata cables, maybe longer ones and route round the back, or leave where they are and get some green or blue sleeving?

slowly but surely getting it the way i want. anyone thinking the blue/green look is a bit too garish?
 
Looks a lot better, id suggest some black sata cables and cable tie them together, and if you can get them behind the mobo tray it really helps.

changed it to the other way after reading a few threads on here, there seems to be decent space beneath the case for air to get in, thought it'd be a better idea the psu getting cool air from below rather than warm(ish) air from the case

had thought of black and shifting them round the back Setter, but i'm probably being blind, can't find any longish black ones on OcUK. :p

I think the only thing you can do about sata cables is to try and bundle up as much of the excess as you can in the drive bay and keep it out of sight.

I believe that case has a grill on the floor of the case where the PSU is - so the PSU will be happily intaking cold air from the floor. Much better than taking in hot air from the case if it were flipped around.

I have the same case, there's a slight lift-off from the ground with that case and it has a fan area for the PSU fan to exhaust when faced down like that.. :)
 
What length are the current sata cables your using? I have a few spare 45cm black ones going spare here.

not sure to be honest, they're pretty short tbh. think i have a couple of longer ones laying round somewhere, if i could just remember where, but thanks tho.

just noticed you're location setter, you're just up the road from me. ballycastle here. small world!!:p
 
Were practically neighbours,:D. Used to go to school in ballycastle, still go down now and again for a night out, if you do need the cables your more than welcome to them mate.
