Feeling sick after exercise

I'm not in good condition, over weight and quite unfit. This morning I started to do Pressups, situps and some other exercises.

I started right after I ate my breakfast (3 x small wholemeal toast)

After I finished I began to feel really sick as if I wanted to puke. It still hasn't fully passed over yet but what causes this? For my first time back into exercise I think I pushed my self to hard or either started to exercise to fast after eating my breakfast.

I'm worried that I'll get this feeling again when I exercise next time, should I just take it slower??

Cheers

It happens if you've been on a break. I stopped weight training for about 3 months then jumped straight back in and nearly fainted lol. Next time will be fine, though I wouldn't exercise so close to eating anyway.

I hate exercising straight after eating. Sometimes I end up belching which isn't pleasant for others in the gym but I honestly can't help it!

To echo what Chris said, from experience when I've hit the gym hard after a break I have felt sick and quite feint during and after.

A few months ago I was well in to it and never felt like this before so yeah maybe I just did take it to hard.

Starting to clear up now though thankfully!! I am quite the hypocondriach so it had me worried!
