I was doing a house share "shared mortgage" with my girlfriend and best friend up until recently, when he decided he wants to abandon ship and play happy families with some dog he has known for about twelve minutes. Needless to say we have stopped talking. I wish you better luck than ours.

Might be worth asking for his name on it sooner, it would mean the 7 years for inheritance tax crap comes and goes quicker (not that I'm thinking his mum will pop her clogs mind!)
