Been abit worried in changing my cpu and fan over for past couple of days but finaly done it with out problem. Last time i did it about 2 year ago i turned the PC on and it wouldnt boot up. This time its fine. The fan is spinning and PC turned on as normal. If though i have fitted it wrongly or something is up with something else will i find out nearly straight away if something is wrong like over heat and just shut down?. The only thing what makes me worried is setting on fire if i have done anything wrong.

Thanks..

Ive been into my bios and looked at the temps and speed of the fan and cpu and they are.

CPU Temp 34c
M/B Temp 30c

CPU fan speed 2000 to 2180
Chassis fan speed 1188RPM

Is this fine?.

BIOS temps are sketchy at best (and taken often at idle)

Load windows, Download Prime95 and realtemp. Run Prime95 for a couple hours with realtemp running to show you the temps.

What CPU did you OC?

How about starting with your system specs ? :)
Idle temps says very little, you have to stress the CPU/Mobo/GPU to get a better picture!

Edit:
Beaten by a StonedPenguin! :)
