Evening all,

I recently purchased the 6900 xt card and a new Dell g3223D ( monitor 1 ) running alongside an older 32'' lg montior ( monitor 2 )

Been running the above with no problem for the last two weeks until I powered on the pc this evening. It only detected the LG monitor and giving me a message on the Dell monitor saying no DP signal.

If I unplug the LG hdmi cable then the Dell monitor kicks back in and works as per normal. If I then plug the hdmi back in then I lose the signal on the Dell and then the LG kicks back in.

Feels like I am being missing something very simple and its annoying me only having the use of one monitor lol.

Thanks for looking and hope the above makes sense.

Sounds like one is set as primary and Windows display output has switched to single screen only.

Windows Key + P to get to the Windows display output and project dialogue where you should see options like PC screen only, 2nd screen only, Duplicate etc. It might have set to one or the other whereas by the sounds of it you want to have the option set to Extend.

There will also be multiple monitor settings in the AMD driver to check out.

Thanks for the reply Mrk.

I have used the win key + p on initial setup to extend the screen and that was no problem nor has it been for the last two weeks since.

Problem is that it only detects one or the other but not both at the same time. It does seem like that the hdmi is primary and if that is not plugged in it then hunts to the next available display which is the Display port ( Dell )

Edit* Just tried a different display port and now have both screens working off the older LG monitor ( this was the initial problem when I first booted up last night and noticed something wasn't right ). Both monitors are detected in the AMD adrenaline software but only the LG is being detected in windows advance display. Might need to go on the Dell support forums and see if anyone else is having this problem.

Just tried the cable that came with the monitor as was using a new third party cable. Still the same issue, going to take some time out and do some digging. Thanks for your input though, much appreciated.

Post updates if you do get to the bottom of it!
Forgot to update on this.

Uninstalled Amd drivers and bingo no problem. Just installed the latest drivers and bingo ( basic driver install ) same problem straight away. Have to use Windows drivers for the foreseeable.
