Fence Issues

Are you allowed to attach things to your fence that take it above the top fence line? I.e bamboo sticks with holograpic ribbons on them?

My neighbour has put these on her side of the fence, and to be honest, it looks horrific. And now we are getting reflections in our upstairs windows and a direct distracting view from our conservatory window as these ribbons flap about in the wind and catch/reflect the light.

Will post up a pic soon but wondering if we are being overly sensitive to the situation.

Planning on speaking to neighbour at the weekend.

Its a shared fence. Fence is 6ft in height. Hopefully they are reasonable to our concerns. But as usual these things sometimes go south if their viewpoints dont align.
Worse case, i guess i could put a trellis on our side to block the ribbons out.

Assume you don't know what shes trying to achieve.
Try and find out and see if you can come up with a better plan.

Do you have cats by any chance?

No pets......Don't even get birds in the garden if thats what she is trying to achieve....maybe she just trying to annoy me lol
